Rape and murder suspect Ramelo

PAGADIAN
CITY, Zamboanga del Sur (March 30, 2015-) – The Police operatives of Molave
Municipal Police Station (MPS) of this province had filed the case of rape with homicide at the provincial prosecutor Monday morning after successfully arrested Saturday
afternoon the suspect of raping and killing the 3-year old child.
Zamboanga
del Sur Police Provincial Director said in a follow-up investigation headed by
Molave MPS COP Senior Inspector Gabriel Maglangit positively identified the
suspect as Ramelo Hawgin alias Baybay.
Some witnesses
saw the suspect accompanying the child at the Molave public market and believe
to have brought the child towards his residence at the nearby barangay of Dalaon
in Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur, Ecaldre disclosed.
Ecaldre said during the investigation the suspect
admitted to have carried the child from the public market area of Molave and
further revealed that he killed the child and have dumped her in the canal
situated at Sitio Susayan, of the same barangay..
The police
operatives recovered the dead body of the victim naked about half kilometer away from the
suspect’s residence.
Molave
Municipal Health Officer Dr. Prisco Pabatao Jr. also disclosed that the child
had been raped before she was killed due to laceration wounds in her sexual
organ that lead to a conclusion.
At about 1:10 in the afternoon March 28, 2015 the
mother Marivic Victoria Alpa together with her husband Kasim Alpa reported to
the police station regarding the incident.
The mother said that earlier at about 10:00 a.m. of
the same day together with her daughter had taking their breakfast at the carenderia
at Molave Public Market and later she went to the comfort room and left her
child in the Carenderia who was then still eating and upon her return she noticed
the child was no longer there.
The suspect is now presently detained at Molave
Police Station lock-up cell.
