PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur, Dec. 23 (PNA) – Provincial police chief, Senior Supt. Sofronio Ecaldre, has directed all his officers and personnel against the firing of guns during Christmas and New Year’s eve.

Ecaldre issued the warning as he led Monday here the sealing of the gun muzzles of policemen in this province.

Ecaldre said that administrative and criminal charges will be filed against any policemen “once they will use their firearms outside the call of duty.”

Ecaldre led the nationwide taping of gun muzzles for personnel based at the provincial headquarters at Camp Abelon in this city and in the municipal police stations.
