SHOOTING INCIDENT
Zamboanga del Sur- At about 4:30 am of October 14, 2019, information from Brgy. Captain Myrna Ornopia Of Brgy. Marangan Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur, informed to Dumingag MPS thru cellular phone that a vehicular accident transpired at about 5:00 pm of October 13, 2019/

The victim identified as Rodel Susas Alpeche, 19 years old, male, single, sk chairman and a resident of Purok 2, Brgy. New Carmen, Sominot, Zamboanga Del Sur, was found lying beside his single Honda XRM motorcycle by a concern citizen Christopher Cuaresco Acasio thought that it was just a road crash incident.

Immediately the victim was brought to LTMPC Hospital Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur, however, upon arrival at the hospital the attending physician Dr. Eufranist D. Jornales pronounced the victim dead on arrival, which the victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the different parts of his body.

Personnel of Dumingag MPS proceeded to the area to verify the veracity of the incident and conducted ocular inspection the area is a far-flung barangay and only by foot to reach the aforementioned area.

Personnel of Dumingag MPS conducted thorough investigation for the possible motive, identification and arrest of the suspect/s.

SHOOTING INCIDENT
Zamboanga del Sur- Shooting incident transpired at Purok Matinabangon, Brgy. Matab-Ang, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur at about 10:20 pm of October 14, 2019.

Dumalinao MPS immediately proceeded to the aforementioned place of incident and victim identified as Junie Morato Delacerna, 39 years old, fruit vendor and a resident of Purok Matinabangon, Brgy. Matab-Ang, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur lying inside their sari-sari store bleeding allegedly shot by unidentified person.

Investigation conducted disclosed that suspect peep outside the window store wherein the victim was sleeping inside and shot four times as evidence recovered of four empty shell of Caliber .45 believed to be used by the suspect who immediately fled to unknown direction.

According to his live-in partner Daylinda Olivar Mabaga, while they were lying inside of their sari-sari store and about to sleep suddenly a burst of fire coming from outside hitting on the different parts of the victim’s body, the victim was immediately brought to Zamboanga del Sur medical center for medical treatment but was declared dead on arrival by his attending physician.

Personnel of Dumalinao MPS conducted thorough investigation for the possible identity, arrest of the suspect and motive of the incident.

PRO9 Deployed 6, 517 Cops for Election Duty

PAGADIAN CITY (May 8, 2019) - The Police Regional Office 9 (PRO-9) has deployed a total of 6, 517 police officers for the May 13 elections during the simultaneous send-off ceremony held Monday May 6, 2019 at the Police Regional Office-9 (PRO9) headquarters and at the different Police Provincial/City Police Office across the region, participated in by contingents from the Philippine National Police, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Phil Coast Guard.

Police Brigadier Gen. Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director said the 6, 517 police officers will be placed at the different polling precincts and other areas in Zamboanga Peninsula region to ensure the peaceful and orderly mid-term elections on May 13, 2019.

Of the 6, 517 cops, 1, 904 of them deployed in Zamboanga del Norte and 1, 484 going to Zamboanga del Sur. On the hand, 1, 377 are headed Zamboanga Sibugay and 1, 041 to Zamboanga City while 170 going to Isabela City.

During the send- off ceremony at the Police Regional Office 9 Headquarters, Police Lt. General Camilo P Cascolan, PNP Chief Directorial Staff, Police Brigadier Gen. Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director; Col. Leonel Nicolas, Commander of Task Force Zamboanga; Commodore Joseph Coyme of Phil Coast Guard and Atty. Remlane M. Tambuang, Regional Election Director led the send-off ceremony of 1, 374 troops from the Police Regional Office 9,  82 troops from AFP and 30 from Coast Guard held at PRO9 Parade Ground, Camp Col Abendan, Mercedes, Zamboanga City on May 6, 2019.

The 1, 374 augmented cops who will be assigned to the voting centers in the region were as follows – 535 to Zamboanga Del Norte, 153 to Zamboanga Sibugay, 348 to Zamboanga del Sur, 337 to Zamboanga City and 1 to Isabela City.

Police Brigadier Gen Licup, in his message, reminded the troops the sworn duties to keep the upcoming electoral process to proceed with no untoward incidents happen and to keep safe always.


 The COMELEC Regional Election Director commended the PNP and AFP for the services, dedication and loyalty to the country and the people.
